Root Cause Therapy: A Deeper Approach to Healing

Root Cause Therapy offers a unique and powerful pathway to emotional healing.

This method supports you to access and release unprocessed emotions stored deep within the unconscious mind and body—emotions that create limiting beliefs, triggers, and coping mechanisms that may be holding you back from living with ease and authenticity.

“It’s time to heal the cause, not just manage the symptoms.”

What to Expect in a Root Cause Therapy Session

1. Setting Your Focus

At the beginning of your session, we’ll explore what’s important to you and what you'd like to shift or resolve.
Together, we’ll identify a main focus area—such as a relationship challenge, a work issue, or an emotional pattern you’re ready to move through.
This conversation provides a safe space for you to share what's happening in your life and how it's impacting you today.

2. Identifying Limiting Beliefs

We then use gentle kinesiology (muscle testing) to identify core limiting beliefs that may be unconsciously influencing your decisions, emotions, and behaviours.
Muscle testing helps bypass the 'thinking' mind, tapping into the body’s wisdom to reveal what’s stored beneath the surface.

Common core beliefs may sound like:

“I am not good enough.”

“I am alone.”

“Life is hard.”

“I fear judgment.”

These unconscious scripts often shape the outcomes we experience—especially those we wish we could change.

You may not have any conscious memory of some events, since many of our beliefs are formed before the age of 7, but your unconscious mind has taken everything in throughout your life and stored it, along with the associated emotions.

3. Healing the Root Cause Through Timeline Regression

Once the limiting beliefs have been identified, we move into the final part of the session: timeline regression.
This is a safe, guided journey that helps you access the original memories or events where these beliefs first took root.
Using a framework that blends many therapies such as Gestalt Therapy principles, somatic processing, and timeline therapy, you remain awake, aware, and in control throughout.

You may be wondering if you will have to re-live trauma. However it is no more stressful than what you are already experiencing in your everyday life—it’s simply that this time, you have the tools and support to heal it. Safely.

4. Releasing Unprocessed Emotions

With compassionate guidance, you allow unprocessed emotions to reach completion and leave your system—something you likely weren’t equipped to do when the original event happened.
As you release these emotions, you begin to see the situation through a clearer, more compassionate lens.

This process often leads to beautiful a-ha moments, deep self-compassion, and a noticeable reduction in emotional reactivity to old triggers.

5. Integrating New Insights

After clearing the old emotional imprints, your system can naturally integrate new insights and healthier perspectives.
This empowers you to move forward in life with greater freedom, self-awareness, and resilience.

Is Root Cause Therapy Hypnotherapy?

No—Root Cause Therapy is different to hypnotherapy.
While we are accessing your unconscious through light relaxation, you remain fully aware, working with your own inner wisdom to uncover the root causes of your patterns.

Once a core belief is healed, other associated beliefs often dissolve too, creating powerful ripple effects in your emotional, relational, and everyday life.

My Approach to Healing

Hi, I’m Dani.

My role is to guide you safely through this process with care and respect for your unique journey. While Root Cause Therapy remains one of the methods I draw from, I now also integrate other modalities, including Somatic Healing and Internal Family Systems (IFS).

This allows us to gently explore the origins of your current struggles, helping you to reconnect with your authentic self and create lasting emotional repair.

I believe true healing happens when we address the root—not just the symptoms—and when we feel safe enough to meet what’s been hidden beneath the surface.

Initial sessions are approximately 2 hours, with subsequent sessions around 90 minutes.
I recommend booking a time where you can allow yourself space afterwards for reflection and integration.
